A Frame Built in the Wind Tunnel

The Rave SLR ID2 frame starts with Carbon Monocoque HUS MOD construction — the same layup Wilier uses on both the frame and fork — reinforced with Liquid Crystal Polymer in the chainstays for maximum stiffness under power. Wilier's Innovation Lab developed the ID2 using full 3D modelling and CFD analysis, then validated it in actual wind tunnel testing.
